Not that I like labels, but I'd call myself a Photojournalistic Lifestyle Photographer. Always looking to find genuine moments in beautiful light.
What that means is that I'm here to tell the story of your wedding day, rather than stop your guests from what they're doing to have their photo taken. That's not to say I won't have any involvement at all (I'll still grab those formal photographs for the grandparents), but I'll definitely pay attention to those those little in-between candid moments that truly capture the spirit of the day. With some gentle direction to ensure you look your best, I'll endeavour to blend right into the event.
Being local to Tofino, it's so important for me to give your photos a sense of place - with the landscape always playing a character. I also love the rain, so whatever the weather I'll know some of the best spots for us to head to.
As a fan of keeping things simple, I offer three packages:
For those couples that simply want the ceremony captured, with the option of a short private shoot afterwards.
SHORT AND SWEET
Appropriate for half days or elopements with guests, this option is great for those who want to save a little cash for the honeymoon.
It includes bridal preparation, guest arrivals, the ceremony, and a post ceremony shoot with you. We're looking at around 3-4 hours in total.
THE FULL STORY
A great choice for those who want to capture the whole day. Starting off with the bridal and groom prep, then moving on to guest arrival, the ceremony and post ceremony group shots. Once everyone is seated, I'll stay for the speeches, dinner, and beyond the first dance.
*In either case, I will provide you with high res and web resolution images, fully edited in colour and in black and white. I believe in quality over quantity so I'm not going to limit the amount you get, or send you repetitive photographs. Typically, a full day shoot will amount to around 350-500 distinctive images and I pride myself on a quick turnaround of just ONE WEEK. Just drop me an enquiry to find out where I will be shooting in 2017/18 and we can get the ball rolling!
